How is security access set up for the web service?

Access to the web service URL can be secured by Integrated Windows Authentication or Basic Authentication. Both use Windows/Active Directory for authentication. You can also set it up for anonymous access and rely solely on the JDE credentials submitted in the web service request.

If it is set for anonymous access, can any JDE user call any web service?

We have only one web service with one WSDL. The content of the request (XML) determines the business process that is executed by the server. You can secure business processes by JDE user and/or JDE role. By default, no one has access to any business process unless security is explicitly assigned.
